In 2023, Helen Charlston and Sholto Kynoch premiered Knight’s Dream, a brilliantly inventive new cycle by Héloïse Werner that was conceived as a companion piece for Schumann’s Dichterliebe. The concert received rave reviews in The Times and The Observer, the latter describing it as ‘a triumphant recital’. Helen and Sholto have subsequently recorded the programme on the BIS label and celebrate the release of this album with another performance of this exceptional pairing of works.
