Barber Schools

Visiting our galleries at the Barber Institute to see artworks in person is an inspiring, stimulating and unique learning experience. Our team believes in the power of visual art and how it promotes discussion and creativity.

Our Barber Schools programme has been through some changes over the past few years. Informed by conversation with teachers and partners, we are developing a range of new opportunities for schools to engage with the Barber.

Our current offer supports Secondary Schools (KS3 and above) to visit our galleries for guided tours and self-guided visits. These are supported by a range of downloadable resources.

Please Note: All Barber galleries will close on 2 October 2023, remaining closed until Spring 2024 as we begin the first phase of a building improvement project. We look forward to re-launching our Barber Schools onsite offer from summer term 2024.
