Barber Home – online workshop
Recovery
Galleries are a space where exchange can take place between artists and audiences, space and materials. Earlier this year, our team explored how we might come together safely when Covid-19 enforced physical and mental restrictions on us all.
Join us – with our Recovery Art artist facilitator Ruth Turnbull and Learning & Engagement Manager, Flora Kay – as we meet together for a creative and social drawing workshop.
It includes an introduction to artwork in the Barber’s collection, before exploring drawing exercises in a space for making, reflection and conversation.
This workshop is hosted over Zoom and is open to everyone over the age of 18, no prior creative experience or skills are needed, just yourselves!
You will receive a posted workshop plan and basic art materials to access the workshop so you can continue to be creative after the Zoom workshop.

This Barber Home – Recovery workshop is adapted from our Recovery Art sessions, a longstanding programme that supports participants to take positive steps on their individual and collective journeys of recovery. We continue this programme safely, still remotely, hosting monthly artist led workshops.
This event is supported by the West Midlands Museum Development Recovery Grant.
