RECOVERY ART 2017

First formed in early 2013, the Barber’s Recovery Art group provides an invaluable space for people in recovery from physical or mental ill health, stages its fourth annual exhibition.

Inspired by subjects, media and techniques seen in the Barber’s collection, by their own ideas and experiences of recovery and by the technical processes themselves, members of the group have created exciting new original artworks in many media. This is a process that has proven sociable, creative and cathartic.

Works in this year’s exhibition explore painting, sculpture and photography and are accompanied by insights from the group, written in their own words.
