Carolin Widmann violin

It would be difficult to find a better artist to kick off our 2018 festival – Carolin Widmann is a leading light in the world of the contemporary violin – and takes to the Barber Concert Hall with solo violin music from Italy, the UK, Denmark and Spain. Hailing from Germany, Carolin premiered a new concerto from CrossCurrents Artistic Director Michael Zev Gordon  with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Sakari Oramo in 2017.
