Barber Concerts Update

Due to the unforeseen current COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently unable to run concerts and events in the Barber Concert Hall. At present we also cannot offer the Concert Hall for external hires/bookings.

All Barber Concerts have been cancelled at the Barber Concert Hall until April 2021 at the earliest. We are in the process of rescheduling cancelled events for the following 2021/22 concert season where possible in order to support the artists who would have performed in our concert series during this time. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Concert Hall as soon as we can.

For now, here is a short note from Jo Sweet, Head of University Music and Concerts:

Though we are no doubt all missing the opportunity to experience live music at the moment, please be assured that we are working away in the background to bring you some streamed performances and video content from a selection of the artists that you were due to hear in Autumn 2020 and early 2021. Those familiar to the hall in the Barber will be all too aware that we do not have the required level of air circulation and ventilation required to be able to welcome you back in the coming months. I hope you are able to enjoy the performances that we post online and we look forward to welcoming audiences and artists back to the venue when it is safe to do so. In the meantime please consider getting involved in our Barber Concerts at 75 project!
