Art Appreciation

This 10 week beginner’s course explores art across five regional art galleries, using collections and temporary exhibitions, exploring both historic and contemporary art.

The series starts by looking at the story of art from the Renaissance to the 20th century at The Barber Institute.  Then progressing through artistic movements, styles and periods with sessions at New Art Gallery Walsall, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and Ikon Gallery.  Through supported looking, discussion and analysis become equipped to enjoy and explore art wherever you may encounter it!
