Combining a shared passion for experimentation, quartet-lab has moved away from preconceived impressions of the standard repertoire, and programmes are instead created around musical texture, context and colour. Familiar repertoire is positioned alongside contemporary works and interspersed with unannounced chamber works.

Landscape is Gallery’s First Art Work by Living Artist

Frank Auerbach is widely regarded as one of the world’s most important living artists. The large landscape, Primrose Hill – Winter, painted between 1981 and 1982, was allocated to the Barber Institute under the Government’s AIL (Acceptance in Lieu of Inheritance Tax) scheme.
